Sun, 24 Sept
|Bendigo
BCA in partnership with the City of Greater Bendigo is holding a workshop to share information about how community members can get involved in protecting significant trees. Work has already started on a tree register but more people need to get involved to help make it happen!
Time & Location
24 Sept 2023, 3:00 pm – 4:30 pm
Bendigo, 121 View St, Bendigo VIC 3550, Australia
About the event
Michelle Wyatt, Manager of Climate Change and Environment and Phil Shaw from the City of Greater Bendigo will be there to provide information, answer questions and participate in developing some action strategies. Wendy Radford from the Friends of the Wellsford Forest group will be there to lead discussion about how we measure 'significance' in terms of trees and what issues we currently face in trying to protect 'big old trees'.
There will be plenty of opportunity for people to contribute ideas and sign on to help move the agreed strategies forward.
