About the event
Darren and Lisa grew up in Bendigo. They are currently living in Castlemaine were they run Regrarians Ltd an Internationally based agroecology consultancy and Creamtown - a family run, community based Cafe.
They made the film Polyfaces whilst living in the US, over a four year period. It focusses on Joel Salatin who Time Magazine once dubbed 'the world's most innovative farmer'. Debate has since followed about whether Salatin's success can be easily replicated but the principles he followed in terms of chemical free farming led the way for agriecology pioneers like Darren and Lisa who will talk about their journey since making the film in the panel session that will follow the screening.
Regrarians statement of purpose:

Our secondary responsibility is to provide the potential for people to be informed about the regenerative economy, whether it involves their work in agriculture, land management, corporate life, domestic services, manufacturing or other activities that are within the reasonable domain of humans…”
