About the event
Take part in the platy-project this September
Have you ever spotted a platypus in the wild?
This September, we are going to head down to the banks of the Campaspe river, to find a quiet spot to look for a platypus and record what we see.
It’s all part of the platy-project, a citizen-science initiative brought to you by the Australian Conservation Foundation and the University of New South Wales.
This event will allow you to slow down, enjoy some fresh air and connect with nature.First, we will help with some new planting on the Trust for Nature property, then have a cup of tea and learn about monitoring of animals from COGB Biodiversity Officer Mark Hall, before heading to the river bank to settle in for dusk.
