About the event

Following the Bendigo Premiere at The Star Cinema in July, and by popular demand, the Bendigo and District Environment Council (BDEC) invites you to attend this special screening.

"A controversial film that exposes the lies, corruption and incompetence at the heart of mine regulation in Victoria”

Mine-Field shows how a farming community in East Gippsland fought a ruthless mining company and won. It also reveals the devastation mining has already had in Bendigo and other Victorian rural communities.

'A FILMMAKER says mining laws must change to stop a repeat of company insolvencies in the industry, similar to what happened recently in Bendigo.' Bendigo Advertiser 7.07.22

'BDEC is billing Mine-Field as a "must see" for those who want to learn more about the impact of Victoria's latest mining boom, which has triggered a slew of new exploration projects across the region.' - Bendigo Advertiser 7.07.22

Filmmaker Peter Vaughan and John Hine a farmer featured in the film will be in attendance for a dicussion following the screening.
