About the event
The Friends of The Whipstick is a local community based group focussed on protecting, regenerating and promoting the land, flora and fauna of the Whipstick Forest. Our activities include clean ups, monitoring flora and fauna, organising walks and other bush activities and liaising with relevant authorities to ensure the Whipstick is protected and nurtured. Michael Barkla (Aka Moth McBug) and Ken Wellard (Neangar Nursery) will be our guides for the walk. Both know the Whipstick intimately...Ken grew up there and Michael has been studying its flora and fauna for over twenty years.
